Dominus Family Capital is a private holding company based in Luxembourg. We build long-term value through responsible governance, operational discipline, and deep sector knowledge. We act as General Partner of Walnut Capital SCSp, a Luxembourg special limited partnership established to hold the group’s own investments in early-stage European technology companies and, through its subsidiary AIMedical S.à r.l., the group’s intellectual property.
Who We Are
Dominus Family Capital S.à r.l. is wholly owned by UNIQIT SERVICES, LDA (Portugal). From Luxembourg, we provide the governance and administrative centre for the group’s proprietary holdings.
What We Do
We hold and oversee the group’s participations, including our interest in Walnut Capital SCSp, and maintain high standards of corporate governance in line with Luxembourg law. AIMedical S.à r.l., wholly owned by Walnut Capital SCSp, is the group company dedicated to developing and owning intellectual property. The structure is funded solely from the group’s own capital. Dominus Family Capital does not raise or manage third-party funds, does not offer investment services to the public, and does not carry out any activity that requires authorisation by, or registration with, the CSSF.
Mr. Shmakov brings over 15 years of leadership at Schneider Electric, where he ran P&L and business units across complex international markets — most recently as VP of Secure Power for Russia & CIS.
An engineer by training, Roman Shmakov evolved into an operator and strategist, holding an Executive MBA from Antwerp Management School and a supply chain certification from MIT. He's built multi-country teams, led large-scale B2B sales, and integrated systems across 50+ locations.
At Walnut Capital, he runs the Luxembourg office — ensuring operational excellence, smart execution, and founder support from day one.
